The River Kennet

Within the Estate there are more than 5,000 yards of fishing bank on the River Kennet, managed by the full-time river keeper. The historic buildings, water meadows, river banks and river structures have undergone a full restoration and improvement with the helpful support of Natural England and The Environment Agency.

This renowned and exclusive stretch of the River Kennet offers some of the finest chalk-stream fly fishing in the country. Around 30 fisherman fish on the estate for trout throughout the fishing season, using dry flies.
